Adoption Pending. Hi! My name is Dougall and I’m a spunky young Scottie boy about eight months of age. My life didn’t start too well, but things are really looking up for me now. I was picked up by the dog catcher and taken to a shelter. I was scared, running a high fever, and very hungry. The ladies at West Texas Scottie Rescue came to get me just before my time was up and took me to their veterinarian so I could get well. Once my fever went away I was neutered, got my shots, tested negative for heartworms and tick fever, and got chipped with a HomeAgain microchip.
My first haircut was an adventure and the ladies were very surprised when they saw the beautiful brindle coat that was hiding under my wild dirty mop of hair! Seborrhea makes my skin oily if I’m not kept clean by regular baths with medicated shampoo. Baths are not my favorite thing but I’m putting up with them because they make me feel so good. I’ve gained a couple of pounds, and the doctor says I need to gain a few more. Having extra snacks right now sure is nice!
I love going for walks and do well on a leash once we get going. I also ride well in the car and enjoy playing with friendly dogs. Snuggling with people is high on my list of favorite things too. I’m very sweet and affectionate, and want a family of my own to love me and for me to love.
If you have lots of love and patience to help me through puppyhood, I’ll return that love many times over. If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out the online application at www.texasscottierescue.com and mention my name in the comments section. My adoption fee is $200.00. A securely fenced yard and home visit are required. For more information on Dugall, contact Linda Hill of West Texas Scottie Rescue at firstname.lastname@example.org
